Torque Belly Dance can provide exotic entertainment for any function, including weddings, women's functions, at-home parties, benefits, and full scale performances. We provide only family friendly performances and do whatever we can to make the event as enjoyable as possible for you and your guests. We love to perform and share our love of the dance with any audience.

Torque Belly Dance performs a unique fusion of traditional, tribal, and various ethnic dance forms. Performances include two or more dancers performing prearranged choreographies and/or improvised performance pieces. We can include mini-lessons where apporpriate and can also invite your guests to join us in the dance. We will dance with props if desired, including veils, zils,and/or swords. Performances are usually done to pre-recorded music.

Torque Belly Dance offers several pre-defined packages for your convenience. Please contact us via email or phone if you wish to make other arrangements:

Ambience Package: This package is best for restaurants and festivals. Two or more dancers create an exotic environment for your guests. Dancers may perambulate amongst audience members or may simply dance in a designated area. Dancers will perform in sets and can switch off so that there is always a dancer performing for your guests. At an hour minimum with two dancers. prices start at $150
Mini-class Package: This package is best for birthday parties, bridal showers, and/or bachelorette parties. Two or more dancers will provide a short belly dance demonstration for your guests, followed by an informal class. We will provide appropriate belly dance gear (hip scarves, veils, finger cymbals, coin belts) for participants. At 30 minutes minimum, prices start at $150.
Performance Package: This package is best for corporate parties, wedding receptions, and fundraisers. Three or more dancers will perform for your audience in a designated stage area. Sets will consist of group pieces as well as solos, with 5 minute minimum breaks between sets. Prices start at $250 for a 20 minute set
Traditional Middle Eastern Wedding Package: One dancer, wearing the tradition Egyptian shamadan (candelabra) will lead the bride and/or groom down the aisle. Dancer will perform one solo piece with the shamadan during the reception, encouraging wedding party and/or audience participation as appropriate. Performance with open flame is restricted by the fire code of the event location. Candles with battery operated flames can be used if required. Prices start at $150.

Caveats

A safe and adequate performance space must be provided.
Torque performers reserve the right to leave the performance area without rendering services, if they feel unsafe in any way.
A sound system with CD capability must be provided.
Torque Belly Dance does not perform under any circumstances for all male audiences (such as bachelor parties).
Torque Belly Dance does not perform under any circumstances in a “one-on-one” situation.
Original performances and choreography are the exclusive property of Torque Belly Dance; recording/reproduction is s prohiibited without prior written permission.
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, remainder due just prior to the performance.
Full payment is due if event is canceled within seven days of the event.
A secure and adequately spacious area to change and store costumes and props must be provided.
Travel expenses for any distance over 25 miles from Greensboro, NC at a rate of $0.50 per mile.
Overnight accommodations for any event located more than 150 miles outside of Greensboro, NC.
